A deal (also called an opportunity) is how you track a single sales conversation from first interest all the way to a signed agreement. The moment you create one, Ultragent begins organising everything you need to win it.
Create a new deal
- Open Opportunities from the main menu.
- Click New deal in the top-right corner.
- Type a clear Opportunity Name, for example "Acme Corp - Enterprise Rollout".
- Choose the Account this deal belongs to from the list.
- Pick the Stage that best matches where the conversation is today (new deals start at Prospecting).
- Add the Amount and Currency so your pipeline value stays accurate.
- Set a Close Date for when you expect the deal to land.
- Click Save to add the deal to your pipeline.
Tip
Only the Opportunity Name and Account are required. You can add the value, close date, and other details later as the deal develops.
What happens after you save
Your new deal appears instantly in your Opportunities list and on your pipeline board. From there, Ultragent starts working in the background to surface the contacts involved, recommend next actions, and highlight anything that needs your attention.
- It joins your pipeline: so you can see it alongside every other active deal.
- It links to the account: connecting company details, contacts, and history in one place.
- It builds a health picture: scoring the deal and suggesting what to strengthen next.
Good to know
You can open any deal at any time to update its stage, value, or close date as the conversation moves forward.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a deal and an opportunity?
They are the same thing. Ultragent uses the words interchangeably — a deal is one potential sale you are working to close.
Do I need to fill in every field to save a deal?
No. Start with just a name and an account, then add the value, stage, and close date whenever you are ready.
How quickly can I add a deal after a good call?
Under a minute. Give it a name, pick the account, and save — you can flesh out the rest later, so nothing slips through the cracks.
Can I link a deal to a company I have not added yet?
Add the account first, then create the deal and choose it from the list. It only takes a moment.
Can I edit a deal after I save it?
Absolutely. Open the deal any time to change its name, value, stage, or close date as the conversation develops.
