Gathering intelligence is only half the job. The real win is using it to walk in prepared. ultragent turns each account's research into clear, practical guidance you can act on today.
Get a ready-made outreach plan
Open the Outreach tab on any account to see a suggested plan built from everything ultragent learned. It identifies the company's likely challenge, the angle most likely to resonate, and a step-by-step sequence of touches across the right channels and timing.
- Open the account and click the Outreach tab.
- Review the suggested approach and the people to target first.
- Follow the step-by-step sequence, complete with timing and channel for each touch.
- Use the draft messages as your starting point and personalise them in your voice.
Tip
Each step pairs with the key people and recent signals from the account, so your message always has a timely, relevant hook.
Focus on your best-fit accounts
Once you define an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), ultragent scores every account against it, dimension by dimension: industry, revenue, company size, location, tech stack, growth signals and investor match, each weighted the way you choose. Your account list shows an ICP badge with the score, and each account shows its fit label, from Excellent Fit down to Low Fit. Until you define an ICP, the same number is labelled Data completeness: it counts how much is known about the company and says nothing about fit.
| ICP Fit | What it means |
|---|---|
| Excellent Fit | A strong match — prioritise these accounts. |
| Good Fit | A solid opportunity worth pursuing. |
| Moderate Fit | Worth a look when you have capacity. |
| Low Fit | Likely a lower priority for now. |
Good to know
Anyone can define an Ideal Customer Profile in Settings → Sales profile, under Ideal Customer Profile. Saving it rescores your accounts. On Ultra and Enterprise, team owners and admins can also set a shared team ICP in Settings → Team, which applies in the team workspace.
Find a warm introduction
A warm intro beats a cold outreach every time. ultragent highlights when you share an investor or backer with a target company, surfacing a natural path to a friendly introduction. It also shows who in your own network already has a connection at the company, so you can ask for the door to be opened.
Discover new accounts to pursue
When you're ready to grow your pipeline, use Prospect Discovery on the Accounts page. Describe the kind of company you're looking for in plain language — for example, software companies in Texas with 50 to 200 employees — and ultragent finds matching businesses. Add the best ones to your pipeline with a single click, and full research begins automatically.
- On the Accounts page, click Prospect Discovery.
- Describe the companies you want to find, in your own words.
- Review the matches. Each shows its ICP fit score, or Data completeness if you have not defined an ICP yet.
- Click Add to Pipeline on the ones you like to create the account and start research.
Where does the outreach plan come from?
It's built from the company research on the account — the likely challenge, the right people, and recent signals — and presented on the Outreach tab, ready for you to act on.
How do I know which accounts to focus on first?
Define your ICP in Settings → Sales profile, then check the ICP badge on each account and start with the highest scores. If an account shows Data completeness instead, no ICP applies yet, so that number is not a fit score.
Can I edit the suggested messages before I send them?
Yes. The drafts are your starting point — personalise them in your own voice so every message still sounds like you.
How does ultragent find a warm introduction?
It highlights shared investors and connections in your own network that lead to the company, giving you a friendly path in instead of a cold start.
How do I find more companies like my best accounts?
Use Prospect Discovery on the Accounts page. Describe what you're looking for in plain language, review the matches and their scores, and add the best ones to your pipeline in one click.
