What account research tells you

A tour of the intelligence Ultragent gathers about each company — key people, news, market position, and more.

After research runs, the account fills with intelligence organised into clear tabs. Here's what each part tells you and how to use it.

Key people

Open the People tab to see the decision makers at the company, each with their role, seniority, and the priorities they likely care about. This helps you reach the right person with a message that lands, instead of guessing who to contact.

  • Role and seniority: so you know who holds influence and budget.
  • Likely priorities: the goals and challenges that matter to each person.
  • Conversation starters: recent activity you can reference to open a warm, relevant conversation.

Tip

Add people the research didn't catch — like a contact a colleague introduced you to — and your own additions are always kept safe when research runs again.

News and signals

The Overview tab surfaces recent company news and buying signals: earnings results, product launches, new leadership, and expansion. These are your timely hooks. A note that opens with "Congratulations on the new VP of Sales" gets read far more often than a cold introduction.

Market and financial picture

For public companies, you'll see key financial figures and recent revenue trends, so you can speak confidently about the company's momentum. You'll also see how the business makes money and where it sits in its market.

Competition and technology

The Competition tab shows the company's main rivals with their strengths and weaknesses — perfect for positioning your offer. The Operations tab reveals the tools and systems the company already uses, which points to easy integration angles and natural openings for your solution.

Hiring and growth

Hiring trends are one of the clearest signs of where a company is investing. A surge in sales hires, for example, often means budget is opening up. Ultragent highlights these patterns so you can time your outreach to the moment a company is ready to buy.

Where do I find the key people at a company?

Open the account and click the People tab. Each contact shows their role, seniority, and likely priorities, so you know exactly who to reach and what they care about.

Can I trust the news and signals to be recent?

Yes. Research pulls current, public information, and you can refresh any section any time to pull the very latest before you reach out.

What if I want to add my own notes about a person?

You can add and edit people freely, and your changes are always preserved when research runs again.

How do I find a good opening line for a cold email?

Check the News and signals on the Overview tab and the conversation starters under each person. A recent launch, earnings result, or new hire gives you a timely, relevant hook.

Which tab helps me position against the competition?

The Competition tab lists the company's main rivals with their strengths and weaknesses, so you can frame your offer around exactly where you stand out.
