Finding new prospects

Search for new companies to sell to and review the fresh prospects Ultragent finds for you.

Ultragent finds new companies that match the kind of customer you want, and brings them to you ready to review. You start every day with fresh, relevant prospects instead of a blank page.

Search for prospects

The fastest way to find new business is to describe who you are looking for. Open Prospecting from the Sales menu and stay on the Search tab.

  1. Go to Prospecting and select the Search tab.
  2. Type what you are looking for in the search box, for example "fintech startups in Texas, Series A-B".
  3. Narrow your results with the Industry, Company Size and Funding filters.
  4. Click the search button to see matching companies.

Each result appears as a card showing the company name, industry, location, employee count and website. When contacts are available, you will also see how many people were found at that company.

Tip

You can search with just filters, just a description, or both together. Mix them to go from a broad list to a focused shortlist.

Read the ICP score

Every prospect carries an ICP score, short for Ideal Customer Profile. The higher the score, the closer that company is to the customers you already win. Use it to decide who to reach out to first and where to spend your time.

Review your discovered prospects

Ultragent also surfaces companies for you in the background, so good-fit prospects keep arriving even when you are not searching. Open the Discovered tab to see them, neatly grouped by how they were found.

Good to know

If a company is already in your CRM, it is clearly marked with an "Added" tag so you never chase the same account twice.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to upload a list or buy data to get started?

Not at all. Just describe the companies you want or pick a few filters, and Ultragent finds matching prospects for you instantly.

What should I actually type into the search box?

Describe your ideal customer in plain words, like "manufacturing companies in the Midwest, 50-200 employees." You can layer the Industry, Company Size and Funding filters on top to tighten the list.

What does the ICP score tell me, and who should I contact first?

It shows how closely a company matches your best existing customers. Start with the highest scores, since those are the strongest fits and usually your quickest wins.

Where do the Discovered prospects come from?

They arrive automatically from ideal-customer matching, lookalikes of accounts you already work with, your own email network, and companies you save from searches.

How do I avoid reaching out to a company already in my pipeline?

Any company already in your CRM shows an "Added" tag right on the card, so you can see at a glance and never double up on an account.
