Reply to a specific message
When a chat is moving quickly, replying directly to a message shows everyone exactly what you are responding to.
- Hover over the message you want to answer.
- Choose the Reply action.
- A preview of that message appears above your message box so the link is clear.
- Type your response and send. Your reply is connected to the original message.
Tip
Replying to the right message is the simplest way to keep a thread on track when several topics are being discussed at once.
React with an emoji
A quick reaction says thanks, agreed or nice work without adding another message to the conversation.
- Hover over any message.
- Open the reaction option and pick an emoji.
- Your reaction appears on the message for everyone to see.
Good to know
Each person adds one reaction per message. Choose a different emoji to switch your reaction, or select the same one again to remove it.
Tidy up your own messages
Sent something by mistake? You can remove your own message so it no longer appears in the conversation. Hover over your message, choose Delete, and confirm.
